Get Hands-On at the O’Reilly IoT Learning Lab at LiveWorx

May 12, 2016

Get ready to experience a hands-on opportunity with the Internet of Things (IoT) at the O’Reilly Media IoT Learning Lab at LiveWorx!

Working alongside experts from O’Reilly Media and ThingWorx, you will work with a use-case-driven curriculum that uses a shipping container as a smart, connected thing. This three-and-a-half-hour guided session includes most materials – just bring your laptop and device.

You will get hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi 3 and other device hardware to build an IoT and Augmented Reality (AR) application for the shipping container. Simple building blocks will yield real-life experience with AR and the IoT, demonstrating that these technologies bring value and insight into the real world today.

This guided session is hosted by Jon Bruner and Brian Jepson from O’Reilly, and Chris Meringolo from ThingWorx. Jon Bruner oversees O’Reilly’s publications on hardware, the Internet of Things, manufacturing, and electronics, and has been program chair along with Joi Ito of the O’Reilly Solid conference, focused on the intersection between software and the physical world. Brian Jepson is an Acquisitions Editor for O’Reilly Media who focuses on hardware, the Internet of Things, and Digital Fabrication.
